
Kristina Bishop
Kristina Bishop is a Research Economist at the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute, University of Utah. She specializes in innovation diffusion, network analysis, and data visualization, applying advanced analytics to support strategic initiatives that strengthen Utah’s economy.
Previously, she was a Research Fellow at BYU Law and the George W. Bush Institute, where she co-authored scholarly articles and developed interactive tools to communicate complex legal and economic research. Her work explored contractual innovation, multistate litigation, and diversity networks in law, as well as university innovation efficiency.
Kristina holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Southern Methodist University and a master’s degree in Statistics from BYU. Her research spans household recovery from income shocks and intergenerational mobility. As an applied econometrician, she integrates data science, machine learning, and econometrics to inform policy and welcomes collaborative, data-driven projects.
